What I’m Reading — August 2018
Reading is one of my favourite things to do in the summer, there’s nothing better than sitting outside reading a good book! I read fairly quickly and I’m very impatient, so usually when I sit down to read I make sure I have enough time to finish the book in one sitting. Since I’ve been so busy this summer, I haven’t had the time to read as much as I would like, but I did read a few really great books and wanted to share them with you!
Work It: Secrets for Success from Badass Women in Business
This was my most recent read, and I really loved it. It highlights 50 high-profile women and their advice on how to succeed in work, leadership and in life. HIGHLY recommend to all you boss babes out there!
Truly Madly Guilty
This is a novel by the author of Big Little Lies, Liane Moriarty, who I absolutely love. It’s about a couple who seem to be living an ordinary life, until one afternoon when something goes terribly wrong. Once I started reading this book, I could not put it down! If you like thrillers, definitely check this one out.
Couple Next Door
This one is another thriller, featuring a couple whose baby daughter goes missing while they’re at a dinner party next door. It’s extremely suspenseful and will definitely have you on the edge of your seat!
The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck
I laughed when I saw the title of this book, but I really loved it! It’s written by a blogger who explains that the key to a happy and fulfilled life, is not simply based on positivity. It’s refreshingly raw and really makes you think about the choices you’re making in your life. Definitely a must read!
Dangerous Girls
This book is about a group of friends that are spending their spring break together in Aruba. Everything is going well until one of their friends is found dead in her room. It’s the perfect mystery novel that can easily be read in one sitting!I always love getting new book recommendations, so please leave your favs in the comments so I can check them out!
