Fav Beauty + Skincare Products

Welcome to my blog! I regularly try to find new products that will work for my skin type, and these are the ones that have worked for me for the past few months. I use so many different products on a daily basis and narrowing it down to these eight products was difficult, but here they are!Glossier Milk Jelly CleanserAs the name suggests, this cleanser is a jelly consistency, which I love. I find that this product thoroughly cleanses my face, without stripping the natural oils from my skin. I usually remove my makeup first, and then wash my face with this cleanser to get any remaining makeup off. If you haven’t jumped on the Glossier bandwagon yet, this product will get you hooked!Herbivore Rose Hibiscus Coconut Water Hydrating Face MistI love this hydrating spray before skincare, makeup, or even on the go as a quick pick-me-up. It smells amazing, and adds a quick boost of hydration to my skin. I use this product in place of a toner, and I find it creates a nice base before my moisturizer.Biotherm Aquasource Cocoon MoisturizerI have combination skin and living in Winnipeg, the harsh winters dry my skin out like crazy. This moisturizer is like a miracle in a jar, I use it morning and night in the winter! It doesn’t make my skin overly oily, just adds a bounce that I have not found with any other moisturizer.Origins Original Skin Retexturizing Mask with Rose ClayOrigins makes some of the best face masks on the market, and I regularly use a combination of their masks to customize my skincare routine. This rose mask is my absolute favourite! I apply it to freshly washed, dry skin, and leave it on for about 5-10 minutes. As you rinse it off, it turns into an exfoliator which  really leaves your skin feeling fresh. Anytime I feel a breakout coming on, I’ll use this mask and it helps to bring down the inflammation. If you can't tell, I'm slightly obsessed with anything/everything made with roses!Hourglass No. 28 Primer SerumThis primer is filled with 28 essential nutrients and oils, to keep your skin healthy and happy under a full face of makeup. This creates a perfectly smooth base for my makeup, and also helps it last all day. This product is splurge worthy! I find that a little goes a long way, so it lasts a long timeSmashbox Halo Hydrating Perfecting PowderIf you have dry/combination skin, this powder is for you!  Finding a powder that will prevent my skin from being shiny but not cling to my dry patches is tough. This is the only powder I have found to do the trick, plus the twist up packaging is awesome and way less messy than other loose powders.Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Luminous LightThis has been one of my holy grail beauty products for the last year or two. I have very fair skin and have a hard time finding highlighters that are light enough for my skin tone. This product is the perfect highlight colour that adds a nice champagne touch to my skin. The shimmer is so fine, that I can actually get away with using this as a blush if I’m in a rush, or trying to minimize the products that I’m using.Anastasia Brow Wiz + Clear Brow GelI have combined these two products into one favourite, because I feel like I can’t use one without the other! This brow pencil matches my brows perfectly (they have a large shade range!) and is the perfect waxy consistency to easily apply it while still looking natural.
